About this holiday home

With its location slightly above the town of Lienz, on the Gaimberg, this unique mountain hut offers breathtaking views of the region. The Tyrolean décor with lots of wood creates a unique look. You can warm up by the warm wood-burning stove (plenty of firewood available) while going over your plans for the holiday day. Children play carefree in the enclosed garden, which is also equipped with a barbecue. Delightful! .

Due to the hut's central location, it is only 3 km to the valley station or mountain station of the Zettersfeldbahn. In a few minutes you can also reach the beautiful town of Lienz, which is always worth a visit. In summer, you can start wonderful hikes through the distinctive nature directly from the hut .

Good to know

Charging an e-car at the accommodation is not possible and not allowed. Should you nevertheless charge your car illegally, the house owner/manager may, without discussion, hold you responsible for any damage and charge a fine

Wir haben die Woche sehr genossen. Ganz besonders der Ausblick vom Balkon auf die Berge. Das eingezäunte Grundstück war ideal für unsere beiden Hunde. Das Holz für den Betrieb des Holzofens war bereits gerichtet. Die freundlichen Vermieter überraschten mit einer netten Aufmerksamkeit für uns und unsere Hunde kurz vor unserer Abreise. Wie man der Objektbeschreibung entnehmen kann, erfolgt die Anfahrt zum Haus über eine Serpentinenstraße und die Dusche befindet sich in der Küche bzw im Nebenraum zum Wohnbereich. Darauf kann man sich aber einrichten, es hat uns überhaupt nicht gestört.

Tip from the homeowner

We provide you with enough wood for the large wood cooker and ask you to use the electric heaters sparingly. The wood stove provides a very cosy warmth.

Tip from the expert

Pure nature, if you don't need luxury and want to relax in peace for once, this is the place for you. You can watch deer and squirrels from the chalet, and if you don't want to cook, the nearest restaurant is not far away. A rustic chalet in a dreamlike location.
