About this holiday home
This wonderful house is located in Bad Lainach, a beautiful small hamlet belonging to the village Rangersdorf in the western part of Carinthia, surrounded by mountains, rivers and forests, close to many tourist attractions.
This accommodation has a maximum capacity of 11 persons, in the five bedrooms, which all have a flat screen TV, private bathroom with shower, free toiletries, a hairdryer, a safe, a wardrobe and a small desk. The wide beds are perfect to rest and sleep well. Of course, Wifi is available at all times, free of charge. The huge living room with TV and couches, a cozy bar and a fire place, a terrace with a barbeque area and a beautiful garden is all you need for a great stay. The big kitchen is fully equipped to prepare a nice dinner for your entire group of family. Your cars can stay safe in the private parking place, and you don’t need to worry for your ski equipment of bicycles. A room specially designed for your ski/bicycle, with a ski boot dryer, complete the facilities of the house. This house is ideal for family reunions, business meetings, ski- or bicycle groups, etc.
You can enjoy here lots of fun and recreative outdoor activities either in winter or in summer. The house is situated within Hohe Tauern National Park, one of the largest national parks in Europe (1.800 km²), a miracle of mother-nature, with more than 300 high peaks (over 3000 m), magnificent glaciers, 26 significant water-falls, 551 mountain lakes. A wonderful scenery. You can stay here and go anywhere! In the summer, there’s many things to do: rafting, magnificent waterfalls and gorges (Groppensteinschlucht and Raggaschlucht Gorge), panoramic roads (Großglockner High Alpine Road, Malta Hochalmstrasse), toboggan run, cycling, hiking, paragliding, lakes (Tristachersee, Weissensee), adventure outdoor swimming pool (Winklern, Obervellach), zoo’s…and much more, in less than a 30-minute drive. Don’t miss out on the best-known panoramic road in Europe and one of the TOP 3 excursion destinations in Austria – Großglockner High Alpine Road (Queen of the mountain). You should also know that the hiking mountain trails and the well-known Alpe-Adria R8 bike trail passes in front of our gate. A football field, a playground for children, an equestrian facility and the bus station are at 150 m distance. At only 5-minute walking distance, you can find few charming traditional restaurants. In the winter, the surrounding breath-taking ski slopes are waiting for you. At 200 m from the house, there is an ice-skating rink, a sleigh slope and a ski slope for beginners, opened when there’s natural snow. In Lienz, Heiligenblut or Mölltaler Glacier, there are numerous ski-slopes for beginners, as well as for advanced, at 20 minutes by car. Skiing or cycling, one element is almost always the same – you will be riding through fantastic natural surroundings and enjoying sensational views.
