From the house, you walk or cycle into the cosy harbour of Stevensweert. There is a restaurant with a small playground where you can enjoy a drink or a meal. Look at all the boats passing by. The view never gets boring. The centre of Stevensweert is authentic and one of the most beautiful in Limburg. Together with Ohé and Laak, it forms the Island in the Meuse. Here, the Meuse is the border with Belgium. Pay a visit to Maaseik on the Belgian side, you can still enjoy a special beer with the locals in a brown café.
If you want to experience a bit more, Roermond is a nice city. you can, of course, visit the well-known Outlet.

Stevensweert and Ohé and Laak together form the Island in the Meuse. Here, the Meuse also immediately forms the border with Belgium. It is one of the prettiest villages in Limburg and has a beautiful core.
In Stevensweert, you can visit the Hompesche Molen, the highest mill in Limburg. There are beautiful walking and cycling tours you can take from the park. A nice place to visit is Maaseik on the Belgian side, where cosy shops, restaurants and cafés form the cosy centre
