“Our beautiful house is located in the Regentessekwartier. A neighbourhood full of houses from around 1900 with many old original properties with charisma and style. From 2010, we started refurbishing the property and many original details were brought back and emerged.
The house is insulated and has power from solar panels located on the roof of the theatre behind the house. So sustainability and old houses go well together.
With great pleasure, we rent this lovely place near the city centre and the sea. By bike, you can be on the beach and in the old town centre in 10 minutes. The Forest and dunes are also nearby.
The neighbourhood has many cosy restaurants where we like to eat ourselves. Café Emma on Regentesseplein is a place we like to hang out for a game, drink and food. On the Laan van Meerdervoort (the longest avenue in Europe) is Da Sebastiano, with a real Italian who rules the roost and serves good food for a nice price.
The shops on Weimarstraat both have a bit of everything: chemist, supermarket, ecoplaza, blokker and design shops, wine shops and hairdressers. Reinkenstraat has some good bakeries and butchers and can be reached in a 5-minute walk. There are 4 tram lines with stops nearby. Trains to Leiden, Amsterdam, Utrecht or Rotterdam are easy to reach with these.
The city of The Hague has lots of fun things to explore. Fun museums, shops and streets to explore. The streets around the Noordeinde palace are fun to explore. The Piet Heinstraat in the Zeehelden Kwartier is also on the walking route to the city centre and definitely worth a visit for shops with trinkets and coffee shops.
You can hire bikes at the station or take a city bike”
“The owners have decorated their home with a lot of love and attention and would love to share this with you. A typical Hague house, in a super location. City, nature and beach are combined perfectly here. Enjoy all the beautiful things The Hague has to offer, there are plenty of nice restaurants nearby. Staying cosy at home is also possible of course, as there is a very nice garden where you can sit and relax”
