Houseboat in the marina of Volendam.

Property is in a nice location, close to cafes of Volendam. It's a nice place to spend a few days. Good parking, houseboat is clean, modern & relaxing. The photos of the houseboat are not what is *actually* there, they are for a different houseboat.Instructions for property are poor - from the parking location parking to the facilities on the boat (eg hob). Cooking facilities limited to a small hob, but kitchen cookware is well equipped. While the houseboat had a nice ambience, one gets the impression that the hosts have spent the minimal amount possible on comfort. No nice cotton towels/sheets as in the photos, but 4x small hand towels, non-cotton bedding, bedroom curtains so thin they do not block light/stop people seeing in to the bedroom even when closed. Also safety - heavy wall fitting on bedroom wall over the bed fell off the wall because it was not fixed properly with adequate screws. So a nice place & would recommend but given 4* because of the minor issues.

Das waren wirklich sehr erholsame Tage auf dem Hausboot. Etwas ganz Besonderes. Wir haben schon lange nicht mehr so gut geschlafen .
