About this holiday home

Near the centre of Middelkerke lies this cosy holiday home with comfortable furnishings and an enclosed garden. In summer you can enjoy the sun from the terrace and in winter you can get together in the living room with open kitchen, digital TV and dining table. There is parking space for 2 cars and, thanks to the presence of a washing machine, you can travel light. Handy! .

The heart of Middelkerke is 500 metres away, with charming shops and eateries. The beautiful beach is just a 5-minute drive away and is definitely worth a visit. In July and August, you can stroll along the Zeedijk and enjoy the evening market. Taste delicious local beers in one of the many cosy cafés or restaurants and let yourself be pampered by the culinary delights the region has to offer. There are plenty of culinary hotspots to discover. Discover several fascinating museums, such as the Dunes Abbey Museum, the Museum on the Yser and the Paul Delvaux Museum. If the children come along, we recommend a visit to Plopsaland de Panne or Sea Life in Blankenberge. They will be amazed! There are also plenty of opportunities for the more active, such as cycling and walking through the hinterland or along the beach. On the Zeedijk you can work out, and in the polders you can kayak and supper. Other options include horse riding, paddle tennis, petanque and, weather permitting, sports on the beach. An afternoon of mini-golf with the children is also a possibility .

De woning was piekfijn in orde. Je voelt je welkom. Spijtig dat de kamers boven aaneensluitend waren.  Verwarming in beide badkamers werkte niet.

Dit was een zeer ruim, net huisje. De boerderij sfeer was super. We hadden 3 honden mee dus die omheinde tuin was geniaal. Het was eigenlijk meer een soort grasveldje maar dat bleek achteraf alleen maar fijn want dan werden die honden niet zo vies als je ze buiten liet. Ook rondom het huisje was genoeg ruimte om met de honden te wandelen zonder dat je "last" had van verkeer. Het was echt heel erg rustig in de omgeving maar daar gingen we ook voor. Het huisje heeft prima als uitvalsbasis gediend voor allerlei dingen in de omgeving, Brugge en Diksmuide zijn goed te doen. In Middelkerke zelf is ook genoeg te doen als je even de moeite neemt om Google erbij te pakken. We hebben een electrische auto dus het was even spannend of we genoeg laadpunten hadden maar dat bleek geen probleem. We hadden 1 hond meer dan eigenlijk toegestaan was maar de eigenaar was gelukkig flexibel en daar waren we heel erg blij mee. Kan het huisje aan iedereen aanraden.

Al met al zijn we wel blij met ons verblijf in het huis (de Lange Dreve aan de Fleriskotstraat in Middelkerke) en hebben we een fijne vakantie gehad.

CAUTION: Bookings made until 21-07-2022 have seen in the description that (2) bikes are present. From now on the mention of bicycles has been removed. Until August 2023 these bikes will be available for the guests who have already booked this. Other guests may still use the bicycles in consultation with the manager, after that they will most likely be gone.

How high is the fence?

The fence is between 1.00-1.20 metres.
