A true recommendation: take a walk through the nature reserve Hoge Blekker, the dunes just behind Koksijde-Bad, and end up with the little donkeys that roam around there. It’s free, family-friendly, and you have a beautiful view over the dunes towards the sea, entirely accessible by foot from Rouzéstraat.
Tip from the expert
Try a round of mini-golf or rent a recumbent bike/beach cart to cruise along the seawall and the beach, a popular and active way to explore the coast of Koksijde. If you want it to be even more active, you can also book surfing lessons or paddleboarding sessions at one of the surf schools along the beach of Sint-André, which is within cycling distance from Rouzéstraat.
