You're on the edge of the village of Laforêt, listed as one of the most beautiful villages in Wallonia. You're also in the Semois Nature Park and in the heart of the Semois National Park. The famous Pont de Claies over the Semois is just a 5-minute walk from the chalet! From the chalet, there are numerous walks to discover the region: the children's walk known as La promenade des Légendes, which starts at the village fountain, the Vresse-sur-Semois walk, which leads to the Pont en pierre and the Pont Marie Thérèse, which can only be crossed on foot or on horseback, according to the legend.... or the Grand Tour de la Semois via the Pont de Claies and the GR16 long-distance footpath, the discovery of the Rocher de Saloru viewpoint overlooking the village of Membre, and finally the walk to the new viewpoint at Le Jambon a few kilometres away... In the region, take the opportunity to visit Bouillon and its fortified castle or Sedan and its Vauban-style castle, named France's favourite monument in 2024.
