About this holiday home

In the heart of the Ardennes on a very green spot, you will find this beautiful house with a huge garden. Large enough for the children to expend their energy. In summer, you can get together around the brazier and enjoy a delicious Belgian special beer. The many windows make you feel as if you are in the middle of nature. In the early morning you can see the deer jumping through the meadows! .

The area around the house is perfect for beautiful walks. Avid mountain bikers can also indulge themselves here. The region is ultimate enjoyment for the avid outdoor sportsman. If you love the snow then in winter you can take a day trip to Baraque de Fraiture where you can cross-country ski, and even ski. One of the highest points in the Ardennes. A day in Houffalize, or La Roche en Ardenne are well worth a visit. During cold evenings, light the fireplace here and enjoy the crackling fire over a delicious dinner.

  • Charging an e-car at the accommodation is not possible and not allowed. Should you nevertheless charge your car illegally, the house owner/manager may, without discussion, hold you responsible for any damage and charge a fine

  • For reasons of tranquillity, reservations for groups of persons under 25 years of age are not permitted

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit als Familie in Houffalize. Die Aussicht und die große Wiese direkt am Haus waren großartig. Das Haus ist mir allem ausgestattet, was man eventuell benötigen könnte, vor allem in der Küche. Der Kontakt war nett, die Anleitungen gab es leider nicht auf Englisch oder Deutsch, was vor allem wegen der Anweisungen für die Müllentsorgung nicht ganz einfach war. Das Haus steht etwas außerhalb von einem kleinen Dorf, in dem man nicht viel unternehmen kann. Aber viele Aktivitäten warten in der direkten Umgebung. Leider haben jede Nacht stundenlang Hunde in der direkten Nachbarschaft gebellt, was weniger schön war. An manchen Stellen hat es in das Haus hinein geregnet und es fanden sich Ameisennester direkt im Eingangsbereich, was allerdings nicht gestört hat. Das Haus ist eben schon etwas älter. Am vorletzten Urlaubstag wurde auf die Wiese direkt am Haus Gülle ausgebracht, das hat sehr gestört.

We really loved our stay. The place was pleasant and spacious, with a well equipped kitchen. Best amenity was the large deck which was perfect with the sun out. Would definitely recommend and come again!
