The alpine hut is located in Seewiesen, a small, picturesque village in the mountains of Styria, amidst untouched nature and far from mass tourism. Peace and space, no hustle or bustle, just green alpine meadows, crystal-clear mountain streams, and breathtaking panoramas in every season! Within 200 meters, you can already be on your skis and enjoy the snow of the Seeberg–Seewiesen ski area, a hidden gem with approximately 6 km of slopes, perfect for skiing tours and walks in the winter mountain landscape. The Schwabenbergarena in Turnau, about 15 km away, is a small-scale ski area at the foot of the imposing Hochschwab massif, featuring 10 km of slopes at an elevation ranging from approximately 800 to 1,250 meters. The region also offers 2 beautiful cross-country ski trails: the Turnau trail (approximately 3 km), sunny and easy, and the Seewiesen trail (approximately 2 km), situated at a higher altitude and often with good snow, both ideal for relaxed cross-country skiing in nature. Once the snow melts, the area becomes a paradise for nature lovers and sports enthusiasts. Numerous hiking trails start from the Seebergsattel (1,254 m), such as the Panoramaweg Seebergalm–Hochanger or hikes to the Aflenzer Staritzen and Graualm.
