Welcome to this attractively furnished and detached chalet in the village of Stadl an der Mur in Styria! It stands on a quiet mountain road, is less than 10 minutes away from the Kreischberg ski area, and is fully equipped, including a sauna with rain shower, a covered outdoor terrace, two parking spaces, and WLAN. It is the ideal place for an unforgettable holiday in the Alps during any season!.
Stadl an der Mur is a small municipality and popular holiday resort in the upper Mur Valley in Styria, at an altitude of 884 meters. Located directly on the Mur Cycle Path in the west, Stadl an der Mur is considered the gateway to Styria, both from Salzburg's Lungau region and from Carinthia via the Turracher Höhe, the idyllic Alm-See plateau.
In the immediate vicinity (approx.. 10 minutes by car) is the well-known Kreischberg family ski area, the most modern ski area in the holiday region with 42 kilometers of first-class, snow-sure pistes and 13 cable cars and lifts. This makes carving and snowboarding fun! Another ski area and also a beautiful hiking paradise in the Nockberge mountains is the Turracher Höhe with 43 kilometers of pistes. This ski area scores with a wide range of offers; winter fans can go skiing, cross-country skiing, tobogganing, winter hiking and Nocky whizzing. Thanks to the high altitude and guaranteed snow, it is open until the end of April.
The chalet is located on a small chalet park, approx. 2 kilometers from the centre of Stadl an der Mur, where there are plenty of shops and restaurants as well as a popular swimming lake. The late Gothic parish church and the Renaissance Goppelsbach Castle from the 16th century are worth seeing in the village. The historic town of Murau is also approx. Fifteen kilometers away, it has a beautiful little old town centre, a large selection of shops, and an indoor swimming pool.
The chalet is located in a holiday region known as one of the sunniest in Austria. Quiet mountain passes, small traditional villages, and densely wooded mountain slopes characterise the landscape. A visit to the AQUALUX thermal spa in Fohnsdorf ensures pure relaxation all year round! The Murau region also has a few golf courses for a relaxing golf holiday, such as the Murau-Kreischberg Golf Club or the Grebenzen Golf Club.
The municipality's large leisure centre is located on the outskirts of Stadl an der Mur. The centrepiece is the 7,000m² swimming lake with a non-swimmers' area and a paddling pool for children. There are spacious sunbathing lawns all around, and the facility also includes a playground, a half-pipe, a beach volleyball court, a football pitch, several tennis courts and a children's wooden play park.
Charging an e-car at the accommodation is not possible and not allowed. Should you nevertheless charge your car illegally, the house owner/manager may, without discussion, hold you responsible for any damage and charge a fine

In the summer months, a steam train runs through the valley. You can raft and canoe on the Mur, climb waterfalls, and test your climbing skills in climbing parks or the surrounding natural area. The area has many mountain lakes, beautiful hiking and cycling routes, and small mountain restaurants. What about a great car or motorbike tour over winding mountain roads and challenging mountain passes? Winter fun in Stadl an der Mur: Here, the "Freizeitanlage" offers ice skating on the natural ice rink and an ice-stock shooting range (Curling). Furthermore, there is, of course, plenty of opportunity for snowball fights, tobogganing down the slopes, or just a lovely walk in a winter paradise transformed by snow!
Visit the Frauenalpe, a diverse local recreation area known all year round as the local mountain of the historic town of Murau. In addition to hiking and biking tours, the 8 km panoramic road along beautiful vantage points is one of the summer tips. As a natural snow mecca, the Frauenalpe casts a spell over ski tourers and snowshoe hikers!
