The chalet is located at an altitude of 1,274 metres, amid the majestic peaks and pristine nature of the Niedere Tauern, in Styria's Murtal holiday region. Here you will experience a unique combination of peace, nature and adventure all year round. The ski resort Ski Hohentauern, with 11 kilometers of perfectly groomed slopes, is literally around the corner - the ski lift is less than 200 meters from the chalet! From wide, sunny runs to challenging deep-snow routes, every skier will find their challenge here. Nearby ski resorts Kreischberg/Murau (42 km of slopes) and Lachtal (36 km of slopes) are also highly recommended, and the family-friendly Kaiserau in Admont is perfect for beginners. Cross-country skiers enjoy 18 kilometers of trails in Hohentauern that wind through the beautiful winter landscape. In summer, the Murtal holiday region invites you on endless hikes, mountain bike tours and cycling routes through mountain meadows and along babbling brooks. Relax on the shores of the idyllic bathing lakes Gaishorn am See and Wald am Schoberpass, or treat yourself to a wellness day at the AQUALUX Therme in Fohnsdorf or the Grimming Therme in Bad Mitterndorf. Motor sport enthusiasts are in for a treat: the legendary Red Bull Ring in Spielberg is just 35 kilometers away. Hohentauern and the Murtal holiday region itself offer plenty of options: great excursions, shops, supermarkets and atmospheric restaurants.

We are a family of four (with two teenage boys) and stayed here for a week in August for hiking. The house is exactly as described and better than the pictures. Everything is well thought out. The living room and dining room have plenty of space, and the kitchen has everything you might need for short or long term stays. It was spotless, plenty of linens were provided, and both bathrooms have a toilet, sink, and shower, which was convenient. The service company and host were friendly, responsive, and provided plenty of information about our stay. Temperatures were extremely high on some of the days we visited, and while the house does not have air conditioning, the floors kept it nice and cool inside. There are neighbors quite close by, as in any other ski chalet area, but the views from the balcony and back porch seating area make up for the lack of privacy. Also, we highly recommend Restaurant Pashohe a short walk away. We had a lovely experience and would be happy to visit again.

Szállást szép , tiszta állapotban kaptuk meg. Konyha teljesen felszerelt volt . Környék csendes . Közelben vannak éttermek . Nem kell autóba ülni , hogy túrázni menjen az ember . Szállást körülvevő hegyek nagyon szépek .

Wirklich sehr schöne und komfortable Unterkunft. Schon beim Eintreten in den offenen Wohnbereich ein Woweffekt! Hochwertige Einrichtung, alles sehr sauber, hell und freier Blick auf die Berge. Gut ausgestattete Küche, gemütlicher und großer Esstisch, bequeme Couch. Zimmer im OG alle freundlich und hell, ebenso das Bad mit Sauna. Auch das Bad im EG ist bequem und hat eine große Dusche. Die Kommunikation im Almdorf Servicebüro vor Ort war sehr nett und freundlich. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Highly recommended throughout the year is a visit to the region's thermal spas. The AQUALUX therme in Fohnsdorf features several indoor and outdoor pools, as well as a diverse sauna world spread across three levels. The Grimming Therme in Bad Mitterndorf features three indoor and four outdoor pools, relaxation areas on five levels, a separate children's area with a giant water slide, and a sauna village offering various saunas. Both thermal spas can be reached in 30-45 minutes by car

Hohentauern offers more than 20 two-thousand-meter peaks in the area, providing a fantastic mountain panorama that is your constant companion on the numerous hiking and cycling trails, as well as during various winter activities. If you want to sit down and enjoy the scenery, head to the Seven Heavenly Places - idyllic spots that offer breathtaking views and moments of tranquillity with their cloud banks. Hike along panoramic trails to the Mooralm or Scheibelsee and enjoy your time-out in the middle of nature!
