Enjoy an unforgettable stay in this stylish chalet in Hohentauern in Styria, just a few metres from the ski lift! Combining comfort with a warm, homely atmosphere, this chalet offers stunning views of the surrounding area. After an active day, you can relax in the sauna or the hot tub on the large and beautiful south-facing terrace. Free WLAN is also available and parking is available directly at the chalet.
The chalet is located on an idyllic chalet park in the heart of Hohentauern - a small mountain village in the Austrian state of Styria - at an altitude of 1,274 meters, surrounded by the impressive mountain scenery and pristine nature of the Niedere Tauern.
Winter in Hohentauern means pure snow fun! Styria is not called the white heart of Austria for nothing then. The small-scale ski resort Ski Hohentauern is just a stone's throw from the chalet (you can reach the ski lift on foot!) and offers 11 kilometers of groomed slopes in various levels of difficulty - from easy to challenging. There are also numerous opportunities for freeriders and off-piste adventurers. Those who like to look a bit further will find several larger ski areas in the area, such as the Lachtal (36 km of slopes), Kreischberg/Murau (42 km of slopes), Riesneralm in Donnersbachwald (more than 30 km of slopes) and Kaiserau near Admont - perfect for beginners.
Cross-country skiers will enjoy the 18 kilometers of trails winding through Hohentauern's beautiful winter landscape.
In summer, too, Hohentauern is a paradise for nature lovers. Explore numerous hiking and mountain tours or discover the region by mountain bike or bicycle. On hot days, several swimming lakes and public swimming pools provide the necessary cooling. For motor sport enthusiasts, a trip to the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg (35 km) is an absolute must!
Finally, the charming village of Hohentauern, along with the surrounding villages, offers plenty of opportunities for day trips, shopping and cosy dinners in authentic Austrian restaurants.
