In summer, visiting the medieval town of Murau is highly recommended. Here, you will find many lovely shops and cozy terraces. In addition to beautiful hikes in the mountains, you can hike or cycle along the Mur cycle path. This is a well-known cycle route along the Mur right through the region. For skiers, the surrounding area in the Mur Valley, with the two local mountains, Kreischberg and Frauenalpe, offers numerous winter sports opportunities; being active here in the healthy, fresh air and the dreamlike winter world is a pleasure. But Stadl a der Mur is also the right place for those who want to take it easy; here, you can make yourself cozy and unwind. This region is ideal for active holidaymakers in both summer and winter.
