A big advantage of Donnersbachtal is its location in the Austrian state of Styria, not far from Salzburgerland. You pass the border crossing at Passau and thus avoid Munich. As a result, even in high season, you'll drive towards your holiday traffic jam-free! The accommodation in Donnersbachwald is located on a gentle slope with breathtaking views. With its fantastic location near the Riesneralm valley station, the park offers direct access to nature and a babbling brook. The Austrian winter transforms the area into a fairyland with two snow-sure ski areas, Riesneralm and Planneralm, together accounting for 50 km of slopes. For families, the child-friendly Riesneralm is ideal. Looking for variety? Try the natural toboggan run or cross-country trails close to the chalet. Summer reveals a different kind of magic with various hiking trails, mountain huts, the challenging 5-Gipfelweg, 3D archery, the E-Enduro Bikepark and fly-fishing. Enjoy a refreshing dip in the unique Gipfel pool, at 1900 metres above sea level, and admire the 360-degree view there. Mountain lakes and streams will cool you down on hot summer days. Die Unterkunft war wirklich wunderschön und sehr sauber, was unseren Aufenthalt sehr angenehm gemacht hat. Leider gab es jedoch einige Schwierigkeiten mit der Kommunikation. Trotz mehrmaliger Anfrage wurde das Klopapier nicht aufgefüllt und auch auf unsere Nachfragen zum Stromausfall erhielten wir keine Rückmeldung. Dies war besonders enttäuschend, da ich die Unterkunft an sich zu 100 % weiterempfehlen würde, wenn der Service besser gewesen wäre.

Das Haus ist wirklich toll geschnitten und ausgestattet. Wir haben dort eine Woche mit zwei Familien verbracht und den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Die hochwertige und moderne Ausstattung sowie das großzügige Platzangebot ließen für acht Personen wirklich keineWünsche offen. Ein Highlight ist definitiv die Sauna, aber auch die Umgebung mit dem malerischen Bach und dem nahe gelegenen kinderfreundlichen Skigebiet waren wirklich ein Traum. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist unschlagbar.

Hatten eine traumhafte Zeit!!! Super modernes komfortables Chalet! Das Haus ist so gut ausgestattet. Am besten noch mehr Angaben, was alles vorhanden ist, wie ein Grill, selbst Backformen,… und auch je ein Föhn in jedem Badezimmer! Da es ein sehr kleiner Ort ist, wäre es wichtig zu wissen, dass bei der Anreise zw. 16-18h der ca. 10km entfernte Supermarkt nur bis 18:30h geöffnet hat und man das Nötigste am besten vorher mitbringt!

Modern, tiszta, minden minőségi, pont mint a képeken. Tágas, kényelmes, jól felszerelt, minden igényt kielégít. A hely gyönyörű, rengeteg túralehetőséggel. A közelben van egy kis tó, szuper strandolási lehetőséggel. Ha a tulajdonos elolvassa ezt a véleményt, kérem írja meg hol lehet kapni a párnákat, fantasztikusan kényelmesek :D Csak ajánlani tudom mindenkinek a helyet.Valóban Traumhaus

Which border crossing do you recommend for the approach route?

If you are coming from Belgium, the Netherlands or Germany, we recommend driving into Austria at the border crossing at PASSAU. This will avoid MÜNCHEN. If you drive this way, there is the least chance of traffic jams.

How many parking spaces are there at the property?

There is 1 parking space at the house. If you arrive with more cars than the number of parking spaces at the chalet, we kindly ask you to park them in the general car park at the ski slope. This is to prevent parked cars from making optimal snow clearance impossible.

How big and extensive is the on-site supermarket?

We recommend doing your shopping on the way to the holiday home. The local supermarket is small and open for a limited time.

Is it possible to hire a bathrobe or sauna towel on site?

It is possible to rent a bathrobe and/or sauna towel from the caretaker. Ask for the possibilities and rates on site

Will there be a BBQ?

Yes, there is a BBQ on site. However, you may need to clean the grill yourself before use.

Tip from the homeowner

Our chalet is located on the outer edge of the park. We have realized a terrace of 9x5 meters overlooking the mountains. There is also a concrete BBQ. On the other side of the chalet is a small terrace where you can sit in the sun in the afternoon.

Tip from the expert

Donnersbachwald is a perfect ski resort for families with children. Take a trip down the 3.5 km long toboggan run which leads directly into the village!
