Stroll along the atmospheric harbour or enjoy fresh fish in one of the cosy restaurants. Sail along on an oyster tour or spot seals from the water. You can cycle beautifully over dikes and picturesque villages in the surrounding area. Visit the nearby Oosterschelde National Park or discover Zeeland's culture in Zierikzee, Veere or Middelburg. The North Sea beach is also nearby!.

Be sure to visit Neeltje Jans! This former working island, in the middle of the impressive Oosterscheldekering dam complex, is now a beautiful nature reserve with wide beaches, a beautiful dune area full of nesting birds, and a crazy view of the barrier itself. And while you're there, Deltapark Neeltje Jans is just around the corner—fun and educational for young and old, everything there revolves around water and the Delta Works. It's really worth a visit!
