About this holiday home

This contemporary cottage immerses you in tranquillity and nature. Large windows let in light and offer views of swaying reeds and water. Warm tones, a comfortable seating area and decorative fireplace create a cosy atmosphere inside, while the wooden terrace and lawn by the water invite you to spend relaxing evenings, enjoying the sounds of nature. Enjoy views over meadows and the nearby Kaagplassen .

Around the house, the Green Heart unfolds: endless meadows with cows, narrow dykes and hushed farms. Between the waving reeds, you see the Kaagplassen glistening; boats sail by, reed birds whistle. In the distance, windmills slowly turn their sails. In the morning, mist hangs over the water, in the evening the sun colours the horizon orange and you return to the cosy cottage via winding paths .

Die Unterkunft ist schön und entspricht den Bildern der Anzeige. Leider war sie bei Ankunft nicht besonders sauber, weswegen wir erstmal sämtliche Oberflächen und das Bad/Toilette erstmal selbst reinigen mussten. Sehr enttäuschend!! Der angegebene Gefrierschrank war nicht vorhanden! Weswegen unser geplantes Hundefutter leider komplett aufgetaut ist und schlecht wurde! Die Lage ist sehr schön und recht Zentral. Sowohl die Küste als auch die Stadt Leiden, waren immer nur ein paar Minuten Fahrt entfernt.

Das Ferienhaus ist sehr neu gebaut und sehr modern gestaltet wie auf den Fotos der Anzeige. Es ist Teil eines kleinen Ferienhausparks mit ca. 25 recht gleichgebauter Ferienhäuser. Von dem Ferienhaus ist Leiden und Katwijk sehr gut zu erreichen. Wir hatten übersehen, dass das Ferienhaus keinen Föhn beinhaltet und mussten ein günstiges Modell vor Ort kaufen. Die Schlüsselübergabe und Anreise waren unproblematisch aufgrund der Schlüsselbox.

Oud Ade is a lovely quiet village. If you do want to get out and about, Amsterdam, Leiden and The Hague are a short distance away. Be sure to take a bicycle and enjoy the many green spaces in the area. Renting a boat is also ideal for discovering the region's most beautiful spots from the water
