About this holiday home

This holiday home on the island of de Kaag offers beautiful wide views of the polder and the water from the lovely large terrace with an outdoor fireplace by the water. It is a lovely place for families, and pets are also welcome. There is a large playground with a swing and a large chess set. The large lawn also offers enough space for other games and activities. In addition to the playground, several boats and surfboards can be used.

The island of de Kaag (reachable by ferry) is an ideal place to unwind. The surrounding area is great for cycling, including a beautiful 17 km route exploring the area via various ferries. The Kagerplassen is the oldest water sports area in the Netherlands and offers plenty of activities. Moreover, the Kaag is a very short distance from Keukenhof and cities such as Amsterdam, The Hague and Leiden can be reached very quickly. .

Good to know

  • Charging an e-car at the accommodation is not possible and not allowed. Should you nevertheless charge your car illegally, the house owner/manager may, without discussion, hold you responsible for any damage and charge a fine

  • Because of the peace and quiet and possible neighbours, noise nuisance is not allowed/prohibited in this holiday home

Een unieke plek op het eiland Kaag. Leuke accomodatie, als je tevreden bent met basic. Voor ons was een een prima plek; fietsen en een skelter voor de kinderen, surfborden en bootjes en veel (oud)Hollandse spelletjes om te doen. Onze kinderen hebben ook genoten van get pontje, met aardige veerman Ruud. Mooie omgeving met zicht over de polder. Ik moest wel wennen aan de laagoverkomende vliegtuigen en geluiden van de fabriek in de buurt. Maar als je je daar een beetje op instelt, went het snel. De accomodatie had wel schoner mogen zijn, dat vond ik het enige minpunt.

Bon séjour, cadre très sympathique au milieu des canaux sur une île . Besoin de prendre le bac pour se rendre au logement ( 5€50 aller retour). Les pièces sont spacieuses et correspondent au descriptif . Manque de propreté au niveau de la cuisine, du réfrigérateur, du micro onde , de la poubelle et de la table extérieur. Jolis éléments et bonne literie. Je recommande.

Tip from the homeowner

The Laarzenpad runs right through the polder area of Kaagiland. Hikers can enjoy the flora and fauna of this area during their trip, flowering water plants, jumping frogs, and playing hares. Walking the Laarzenpad is relaxing and evokes wonder
