About this holiday home

This holiday home on the island of de Kaag offers beautiful wide views of the polder and the water from the lovely large terrace with an outdoor fireplace by the water. It is a lovely place for families, and pets are also welcome. There is a large playground with a swing and a large chess set. The large lawn also offers enough space for other games and activities. In addition to the playground, several boats and surfboards can be used.

The island of de Kaag (reachable by ferry) is an ideal place to unwind. The surrounding area is great for cycling, including a beautiful 17 km route exploring the area via various ferries. The Kagerplassen is the oldest water sports area in the Netherlands and offers plenty of activities. Moreover, the Kaag is a very short distance from Keukenhof and cities such as Amsterdam, The Hague and Leiden can be reached very quickly. .

Good to know

Charging an e-car at the accommodation is not possible and not allowed. Should you nevertheless charge your car illegally, the house owner/manager may, without discussion, hold you responsible for any damage and charge a fine

Tolle Unterkunft, tolle Lage! Allerdings keine Einkaufsmöglichkeiten für Lebensmittel auf der Insel, das sollte besser beschrieben werden.

DasHaus ist sehr on die Jahre gekommen und leider auch sehr schmuddelig. Es bedarf einer kompletten Grundreinigung. Innen sowie außen, die Spielgeräte sind rostig und alt. Asche und Zigarettenkippen lagen in der Feuerschale. Steckdose im Bad funktioniert nicht - es gibt nur die eine. Für das Waschbecken in der Küche gab es keinen Stöpsel zum abwaschen, Geschirrspüler war auch nicht vorhanden. Der Vermieter stellte sich nicht vor, sehr unpersönlich empfanden wir den Aufenthalt daher. Es gab keinerlei Insider Informationen oder Willkommensgruß. Das allerschlimmste ist der Lärm der Flugzeuge. Wir hatten in den ersten 4 Tagen Landungen im 2 Minuten Takt, direkt über das Haus. Auch bis tief in die Nacht hinein und in dem frühen Morgenstunden. Alles in allem nicht zu empfehlen und Preis Leistungsverhältnis stimmen hier gar nicht.

The Laarzenpad runs right through the polder area of Kaagiland. Hikers can enjoy the flora and fauna of this area during their trip, flowering water plants, jumping frogs, and playing hares. Walking the Laarzenpad is relaxing and evokes wonder
