About this holiday home

In this modern furnished houseboat, you will enjoy a wonderful stay on and near the water. Sleeping under the waterline is special. Many pleasant hours are often spent on the large terrace. You can also hire a BBQ at reception for a warm summer evening by the water! All in all, a unique property for a cosy stay! .

The ark is situated in a park with a marina right on the Uitgeestermeer and about 20 minutes' drive from the beaches of Castricum and Egmond. In the harbour, you will find several catering establishments, bike and boat hire and even a local brewery. Bring your own boat or rent a sloop to discover the surroundings. In the direct surroundings, you will find an outdoor swimming pool, the Hilde House about archaeology of the area, various forts and mills and the cosy centre of Uitgeest, which is also worth a visit. The park is easily accessible via the motorway and Schiphol Airport is close by. Uitgeest is also located between the cities of Alkmaar, Haarlem and Amsterdam. So plenty of opportunities for a wonderful stay with day trips!.

The location was perfect though it was a small community. It had everything we needed, plenty of markets close by as well train station to Amsterdam. Only 5 minutes by car; train ride into to Amsterdam only took 28 minutes , which was very convenient. Also, only 15 to 18 minutes to other local towns to visit. And on Sunday sitting on the patio watching all the boats sail by was very relaxing

The people was friendly it’s ashamed we had to wait over an hour past the check in time I think they were rushing that’s why they missed the spider webs but the location was beautiful and everything was in working order. I would come back
