About this holiday home

A very pleasant, wheelchair-friendly holiday home with waterside terrace and views of the Uitgeestermeer lake. The holiday home is tailored to a relaxing stay. In the cosy living room, you can relax together during a game night or unwind after a busy day. The outdoor terrace is bounded and also accessible with a wheelchair. Even your pet is welcome here! .

In the harbour, you will find several catering establishments, bike and boat hire and even a local beer brewery. Bring your own boat or rent a sloop to discover the surroundings. In the immediate vicinity, you will find an outdoor swimming pool, Huis van Hilde (House of Hilde) about the archaeology of the area, various forts and mills and also the cosy centre of Uitgeest, which is definitely worth a visit. The park is easily accessible via the motorway and Schiphol Airport is close by. Uitgeest is also located between the cities of Alkmaar, Haarlem and Amsterdam, so plenty of opportunities for a wonderful stay with day trips!.

Empfehlung? Jaein. Die Lage ist einerseits super (direkt am See, wenn man SUPs oder dergleichen hat, kann man den See auch noch ganz anders nutzen). Das Wohnzimmer/Küche ist gut eingerichtet/ausgestattet und hat einen sehr schönen Ausblick (an den Wohnzimmertisch passen aber maximal 5 und nicht 6 Personen). Schöne Terrasse. Man kommt in ca. 30 Min Autofahrt nach Egmond ans Meer oder in ca. 40 Min Autofahrt nach Zandvoort. Wir fanden Letzteres toll. Die Lage ist andererseits nicht so toll (direkt an der Autobahn A9, die man auch nachts hört, war für uns OK, muss einem aber bewusst sein). Alle anderen Zimmer bis auf das Wohnzimmer sind lieblos und teilweise schlecht ausgestattet. Im oberen Schlafzimmer funktionierten die Steckdosen nicht. Die Matratzen sind schon recht durchgelegen. Im Badezimmer und im oberen Schlafzimmer ist Schimmel in den Ecken, was gar nicht geht. Es ist zu teuer für das, was geboten wird (550€ für 5 Personen für 2 Nächte = 55€ p. P. pro Nacht). Trotz der negativen Punkte würde ich wahrscheinlich nochmal in diese Unterkunft fahren, da die positiven Punkte qualitativ (nicht quantitativ) für mich persönlich überwiegen.

Traumhafte Lage, wundervoller Ausblick! Handtücher mussten nachgebucht werden, obwohl in der Beschreibung als inklusive angegeben wurden, das war das einzige Manko! Handtücher aber trotzdem noch spät abends nachträglich bekommen! Absoluter top Service! Vielen Dank :) wir kommen auf jeden Fall nächstes Jahr mit einer noch größeren Gruppe wieder !!

This accommodation does not have its own car park. At a few minutes walk from the accommodation there are 2 spacious parking lots.

Is the holiday home easily accessible by public transport?

From Uitgeest station, it is 14 minutes by bus and then a 1-minute walk to the house. Walking distance from station is 1.9 km (about 24 walking minutes).

Is a fishing licence required?

Fishing is allowed from the terrace of the cottage without a permit. If you take a boat out onto the Alkmaardermeer to fish, you do need a permit. This cannot be purchased at reception.
