An extraordinary penthouse with fantastic, unobstructed views over the Uitgeestermeer lake. You follow everything that happens on the water from the apartment or the terrace. In this cosy penthouse in a central location, you can relax completely, cook from an open kitchen and enjoy many hours outside on the large balcony terrace on the lake side. Enjoy endless great views!

In the harbour, you will find several catering establishments, bike and boat hire and even a local beer brewery. Bring your own boat or rent a sloop to discover the surroundings. In the immediate vicinity, you will find an outdoor swimming pool, Huis van Hilde (House of Hilde) about the archaeology of the area, various forts and mills and also the cosy centre of Uitgeest is worth a visit. The park is easily accessible via the motorway and Schiphol Airport is close by. Uitgeest is also located between the cities of Alkmaar, Haarlem and Amsterdam. So plenty of opportunities for a wonderful stay with day trips!.

Is the holiday home easily accessible by public transport?
From Uitgeest station, it is 14 minutes by bus and then a 1-minute walk to the house. Walking distance from station is 1.9 km (about 24 walking minutes).
Is a fishing licence required?
Fishing is allowed from the terrace of the cottage without a permit. If you take a boat out onto the Alkmaardermeer to fish, you do need a permit. This cannot be bought at reception.
