About this holiday home

Staying here means waking up at the edge of the forest, overlooking vast meadows. Could be worse right? The homely atmosphere of the large living room makes this room ideal for an evening of catching up and sitting back. The chef at heart can show off his/her cooking skills in the well-equipped kitchen, before you enjoy them together at the dining table. And all in a fairytale location! .

The forests of Alphen-Chaam, just below Breda, are characterised by large deciduous trees with several hiking trails, cycling paths and a challenging mountain bike route. If you are staying here, a visit to Breda is definitely recommended. This burgundian city is worth a visit any time of year. Climb the Grote Kerk or take a canal cruise, and finish with an evening out to dinner in one of the cosy restaurants. A visit to the Efteling or Beekse Bergen is also a possibility. And what about a trip through the Biesbosch? .

We hebben genoten van ons verblijf in Landhuis de Vos. Het was zeer ruim met een geweldig lange tafel waar we heerlijk aan konden eten. Ook het feit dat de slaapkamers (met ieder een eigen badkamer) op de begane grond gesitueerd waren was erg plezierig. Tevens was het heerlijk rustig.

Het verblijf zelf geweldig 11/10, geweldige plek maar... De eigenaar woont er ook & om eerlijk te zijn is dit echt een heel onaangename persoon. Avond 1 is hij om 22.00 van zijn oren komen maken omdat wij muziek hadden opstaan, maar hij had dit onmogelijk tot bij hem kunnen horen want het stond stiller dan praat geluid. Was achtergrond geluid meer. Ik heb een vermoeden dat hij rond dat uur naar buiten komt en is gaat horen. Om dan de dag erna ganse dag last te hebben van een muziek event in de buurt. Ik kan snappen als er andere mensen zijn en/of muziek staat luid dat dit stiller tot af moet. Maar we waren dit weekend de enige huurders en vrij ver weg van ander volk dus vrij straf dat hij hier "last" van zou ondervinden. Hij was daardoor ook best verder wat zuur. Laatste dag ging dit terug beter nadat ik toch enkele keren een vraag ben gaan stellen zonder verer moeilijk te doen. Jammer dat de communicatie zo "fars" van hem overkwam.
