This charming holiday home is located on the sunny edge of Langenbach, a quiet village in the Thuringian Forest. It features a cosy living-bedroom, a private balcony with views of nature, and access to a well-kept garden with seating and a barbecue, which guests may share. Due to its hillside position, the entrance is at ground level. Perfect for two people seeking peace and relaxation. The owners live on the same property.

Langenbach lies in the Schleusegrund at the southwest edge of the Thuringian Forest Nature Park. The area is perfect for hiking and cycling, with routes into the Vessertal Biosphere Reserve, around the reservoir or to Lake Ratscher. Sports activities include the Schönbrunn terrace pool and tennis courts in Gießübel. The region is also rich in history: the first industrial village glassworks in Germany was once located here. Excursions to Suhl, Coburg, Erfurt or Weimar add cultural variety. Nature, culture and relaxation combine here for an ideal stay.

Tip from the homeowner

Take a hike directly from the house - we particularly recommend the path to the Schönbrunn dam with its wonderful nature and tranquillity. Back at the holiday home, you can end the day relaxing on the balcony and enjoying the beautiful view of the well-tended garden

A trip to the Ratscher mountain lake is a special experience - here you can swim, go boating or simply relax on the shore. The picturesque old town centre of Suhl with its weapons museum and vehicle museum is also worth a visit. Culture vultures should visit the Veßra Monastery, where history and tradition come alive. An ideal mix of nature, culture and leisure fun
