Hiking enthusiasts can start a tour of the Brocken directly from the house or experience the return journey on the historic Harz narrow-gauge railway. Families enjoy the car-free location in the cul-de-sac and the nature right on the doorstep. In the surrounding area, excursions to the Rappbode Dam with its spectacular suspension bridge, to the half-timbered town of Wernigerode with its castle or to Quedlinburg (UNESCO World Heritage Site) are well worthwhile.
