About this holiday home

Centrally located in the forested Volcano Eifel, lies the village of Meisburg. Near the village's cosy bistro, this chalet is located. It is complete: with 2 bedrooms, bathroom, open living room, covered terrace and a small garden. As a guest, you can swim laps in the heated swimming pool (May-Oct) after a day of hiking, have a drink in the cosy beer garden or eat in the restaurant. Your dog is also welcome. If you want to enjoy nature and love a bit of liveliness, this is the right place! .

Meisburg is a quiet, small Eifel village. The bistro where you will be staying is the place for entertainment, and there are also a few houses, a church, and a sports/playing field. The surroundings are characterized by dense forests where you can spot birds of prey, boar, and deer. Walkers have many beautiful routes to choose from. Just under 15 km away is the Nerother Kopf, on top of which (about 640 m) you will find a castle ruin and a cave. The cave was created because volcanic rock was cut away to make millstones. Quite a climb but well worth it. The volcanic lakes this part of the Eifel is famous for are also nearby. For example, visit the Meerfeldermaar. Here, you can see its geological history and swim when the weather is good. Afterward, you can head toward Manderscheid to explore its two castles. Once a year, medieval festivals are organized here. Another well-known place in this region is Daun. Here, you can find several shops and restaurants. There is also a very nice animal park. Outside the village is a summer tobogganing run (only in summer). In short, you love peace and nature and want an affordable holiday and good food. Then come to Meisburg.

Tip from the expert

View Tower Landesblick is located near the Meerfelder Maar. The Meerfelder maar is the largest in the area, so from the top, you look down on as much as 30,000 years of natural history
