About this holiday home
Superb manor with 2 turrets and large park-like garden quietly located on the outskirts of the village of Duravel.
The property comprises 4 floors where we enter on the middle floor, with an impressive dining/living room with high ceilings and chandeliers, a magnificent balcony overlooking the village and an additional extremely charming TV room. There is a summer kitchen and a separate bathroom. The lower floor has a well-equipped kitchen, a dining room and access to the lower garden terrace.
In addition, there is a floor with 3 bedrooms with a separate bathroom and the top floor also has a bedroom with a separate bathroom and a playroom with a billiard table.
This is a very atmospheric authentic house which is very suitable for 2 families or a group of friends, but because of the quietness it is not rented to groups of young people who want to party.
At the back of the building is the private pool, enclosed between the rock face and completely walled in. There is a lovely terrace all around with sun loungers, parasols and even a dining table.
The manager lives in the small house at the bottom of the access path and will help you when necessary, but respects your privacy. There is a possibility to arrange meals or breakfast service on the spot.
The village of Duravel is a short walk away and close by is a cafe/restaurant and even a small supermarket. Puy lËveque is a 5 km drive away and has a beautiful medieval centre as well as the necessary restaurants and a larger supermarket. Prayssac has a very nice farmers market on Friday mornings, and on Saturday mornings you can visit the big weekly market of Cahors, afterwards have lunch in the old town and walk on the Pont Valantré.
Cahors is famous for its Malbec wines, so be sure to visit one of the many wineries in the area.
There is so much to do in the area; you will run out of time!
