About this holiday home

Superb nature, calm and close to the beautiful village of Moustiers-Sainte-Marie and the swimming lake Lac de Saint-Croix. A cosy holiday home with charm, a fenced private swimming pool (7 x 4 m, depth 1.30 m) and a large grass garden! Plenty of space for the kids, the dog, or just the two of you during a week in Provence out of season! The paintings and collections make it an atmospheric and stylish country cottage with beautiful authentic details such as the colourful tiles from Salernes .

This lovely holiday home is just 3 km from the breathtaking Lac de Ste. Croix (you've never seen such a beautiful shade of blue), for swimming, fishing, sailing, surfing, pedalos, canoeing sunbathing and for hours of hiking! Even closer is the smaller lake 'Le Petit Lac', with diving board, snack bar and mini-golf (2 km). Moustiers-Ste. Marie is an ideal starting point to explore the 21 km-long Grand Canyon du Verdon, where the north and south routes meet along Europe's largest limestone reef. You can explore the canyon on foot, by canoe or simply by car. Along the way, you will take the best photos of spectacular viewpoints ! The historic village of Moustiers-Ste. Marie, with its 12th-century church and chapel, is also known for its glazed pottery. We are sure you will make the people back home happy with one of these beautiful plates from one of the ateliers. Tips for day trips: Roman Riez (15 km), hot springs in Digne-les-Bains (35 km) and Gréoux-les-Bains (45 km) and an adventure park in Manosque (50 km) .

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans cette maison pleine de charme, avec un très bel extérieur et une décoration originale qui lui donne beaucoup de personnalité. Quelques points nous ont néanmoins un peu déçus au regard du prix demandé. Certains équipements mériteraient d’être modernisés ou améliorés : la cuisine est assez petite et peu pratique, le lave-vaisselle fonctionne moyennement et le four est assez limité. Les salles de bain pourraient également être plus fonctionnelles. La piscine est agréable pour se rafraîchir, même si elle nous a semblé plus petite que ce que les photos laissaient imaginer et que son accès par l’échelle n’est pas très pratique. Malgré ces quelques points, la maison et son environnement ont beaucoup de charme et nous avons globalement passé un agréable séjour.

Admire the 135-metre-long chain with the golden star between the two rock formations just above the village of Moustiers-Sainte-Marie. The 150-kilo star is beautiful to look at, but nobody really knows why it is there. At the moment, there are 17 legends that try to tell you why the star is hanging there! If you come across an 18th legend, please let us know!
