About this holiday home

The flat on the 2nd floor has a large and well-equipped eat-in kitchen with sofa and TV, a total of three bedrooms, all with washbasin, shower and separate WC. It is tastefully furnished with lots of wood and attention to detail. From the balcony you can enjoy the beautiful view of the surrounding mountains. In summer, the flat is an ideal starting point for beautiful hikes. The flat is accessible via a shared staircase .

The holiday home is not far from the centre of Sonntag, in the Großes Walsertal biosphere park. Moreover, it is a short distance from Damüls and Faschina, right on the Faschinastrasse. You can easily reach the nearby Sonntag-Stein ski lift on foot (100 metres). In summer, the house is an ideal starting point for beautiful walks, and in winter the ski bus takes you to the nearby ski areas of Faschina and Damüls for free. You can also ski from the house to the Sonntag-Stein ski lift, which is just 200 metres away. The region is home to challenging mountain bike routes that lead you through dense forests and past impressive viewpoints. Enjoy the serene atmosphere of Sonntag. Whether you relax on the shores of a mountain lake or treat yourself to a wellness day at a nearby spa, here you will find tranquillity you are looking for .

Het was 'huiselijk gezellig'. We hadden de bovenste verdieping van de chalet. Bovenaan de trappenhal gebruikten we om valiezen, schoenen en varia te zetten. Het interieur was niet nieuw, maar al die houten plankjes aan de binnenkant passen wel bij het 'chalet-gevoel'. We waren aangenaam verrast dat er ook een oven is en veel keukengerief. Een microgolf was er niet. De kamers waren héél ruim en hadden elk een eigen lavabo. We waren aangenaam verrast dat de gastvrouw op zondag ontbijtkoeken bracht. Ook superhandig dat er op 25 meter een winkel is waar men alle inkopen kan doen. Het is ook een goede locatie als uitvalsbasis voor verschillende uitstappen in de streek, zoals Lünersee, Hochjoch in Montafon, Feldkirch, Seewaldsee, Blüdenz, Rosengartenschlucht, Gargellen, Liechtenstein, Pfänderbahn Bregenz, enzoverder. Nog een laatste tip: bij een regenachtige dag kan je het museum 'inatura' in Dornbirn bezoeken die voor iedereen wel iets interessants heeft, of met de auto de Silvretta Hochalpenstrasse nemen (= ongeveer 20 Eur tolgeld).

Meget imødekommende vært og fleksibel indtjekning meget sent om aftenen. Meget rene og velholdte værelser og autentisk holdt i oprindelig stil - virkelig fint!! Beliggenhed lige ved siden af en kabelbane som vi tog op på bjerget og et supermarked lige ved siden af også. Ingen restauranter i byen, det kræver en køretur på ca 15 min.

Stayed 3 nights with our two children. Great apartment with lots of traditional pine decor and furniture. We certainly felt like we'd arrived in Austria :) . Spacious bedrooms with great views of the countryside. The guest pass gave us free access to the nearby ski lift so we could easily explore the hillside walks. Easily access to the roads so we could explore further afield. Very friendly and helpful host. Would definetly look to stay again should we return to the area.

Tip from the expert

Leave your car at home, with the cable car you can reach the skiing area Sonntag-Stein in only 7 minutes, almost from the house. There you will find the double chairlift Oberpartnom with two runs. Skiers and snowboarders enjoy the unspoilt nature of the Sonntag-Stein area, a small paradise for winter and snowshoe hiking. There is also a toboggan run.
