Within 20 minutes by car you can reach the lifts of Obertauern, recently declared Austria's snowiest and snow sure area. The ski bus stop is about 5 minutes walk away.
The Lungau is a high plateau situated more than 1,000 metres above sea level, and has sunny and warm summers and very snowy winters. Many and varied excursion possibilities are always within reach here. Tamsweg can be reached in about 10 minutes by car from the A10 motorway without any difficult mountain passes. Due to its location, excursions to Italy and Slovenia are also possible.
In the summer you can go mountain biking, e-mountain biking, hiking, play tennis, take a bike ride on the Murradwanderweg, road bike, ride a motorbike, go to different swimming pools or let yourself be carried away through the air at the Smarty Outdoorparc. Golfers can head to the Lungau Golf Club; a beautiful 18-hole golf course just 8 km away. Golfing between the mountains is a special experience!
