In winter, well-prepared trails wind through snow-covered forests, and the surrounding ski areas are easy to reach. Cross-country routes and paths for snowshoe and winter walks offer peaceful moments in crisp mountain air, while the nearby thermal spa provides soothing warmth and time to unwind.

Off the beaten track, a quiet walk into the Larzenbach valley near Hüttau is well worthwhile. The quiet path leads through the forest and along the water, accompanied by birdsong and sweeping views. Especially in the early morning or towards evening, the landscape shows its gentle side here - a beautiful place to enjoy the Salzburger Land without the hustle and bustle

There are quiet spots around Hüttau that are perfect for a picnic. A short hike to one of the small clearings below the Hochgründeck is particularly rewarding, where wide views alternate with pleasant shade. If you prefer to stay close to the house, you will find quiet spots along the meadow paths where you can relax and enjoy the landscape
