Werfenweng is a very attractive region for both summer and winter holidays. The modern ski resort is perfect for families with its blue, red and black slopes. Looking for more of a challenge? Then visit the largest ski area in Europe; Ski Amadé. Here you will find a total of 270 ski lifts and cable cars and more than 860 km of slopes. Of course, you can also go cross-country skiing in winter (57 km), go hiking or enjoy a ride in a horse-drawn sleigh.
On hot days, take a refreshing dip in the nearby crystal-clear "Wengsee". Hiking, mountain biking, a day out in the area or the city of Salzburg are all possible here.

Are there fans present?
There is no fan, but the accommodation has tilt-and-turn windows. Moreover, at 900 metres above sea level in summer, it is wonderfully cool during the nights.

Werfenweng is a pioneer in Austria when it comes to the environmental concept 'Sanfte Möbilität'. Our holiday home is therefore easily accessible by public transport. From the nearby Pfarrwerfen, Werfen or Bischofshofen train station, the W3 Shuttle will pick you up and take you and your luggage to the Penthouse. You can also use this service during your stay!

An ideal excursion for when the sun is not shining in Werfenweng is Eisriesenwelt, an impressive piece of unique nature. Eisriesenwelt is the largest ice cave in the world and is located in the nearby town of Werfen. It is well worth a visit!
