In the small mountain village of Forstau, where you will find plenty of hospitality and cosiness, you will find this well-kept holiday home with a nice flat on the first floor. The cosy living room is perfect for an evening of cards and the well-equipped kitchen allows you to prepare the most delicious meals. The garden is shared with the owner and from the balcony you can end the day in style with a drink and a great view. Amazing! .

Forstau's ski slope is a short distance away, making this property an ideal stay for families with young children or novice skiers. Looking for more of a challenge? Then this is the place to be. Just over 4 km from the property you will find the ski lifts of the Reiteralm (Schladming-Dachstein ski area). A trip to the Dachstein Glacier or the ski resorts of Zauchensee/Altenmarkt and Flachau is also a possibility. Forstau is located on the border of Salzburgerland province and Styria province. Both provinces offer plenty of great day trips. Nature lovers will find what they are looking for on a beautiful hiking or mountain bike tour .

Unterkunft befindet sich in der 1. Etage des Hauses, welches sich an einer wenig befahrenen Nebenstraße am Ortsrand befindet. Sehr nette, freundliche und auch hilfsbereite Gastgeberin. Problemloses Handling, als wir nicht am vereinbarten Tag anreisen konnten. Wohnung sehr sauber und für uns praktisch eingerichtet, Parkplatz direkt am Haus. Kein Problem war es, noch zusätzliche Handtücher zu bekommen - auch die Möglichkeit einer Wäsche wurde angeboten, ebenso Unterstützung bei der Arztvermittlung nach einem Sturz. Vielen Dank auch für die Marillen aus dem hauseigenen Garten! Einkaufsmöglichkeit besteht im kleinen Dorfladen - ansonsten ausreichend ca. 7 km entfernt z.B. in Radstadt. Forstau war während unserer Urlaubszeit im Sommer ein sehr ruhiger Ort mit vielen Wandermöglichkeiten - auch für untrainierte Menschen. Generell sehr freundliche Menschen! Wir haben uns wohlgefühlt!

I recently stayed at a villa in Forstau, Austria, for a couple of days, and it was a great experience. The place was exactly as described in the advertisement—clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. The host was very helpful and responsive, making the stay even more pleasant. The location is ideal if you’re planning to visit both Hallstatt and Salzburg, as it’s conveniently situated almost halfway between the two. Staying here allows you to explore both destinations while enjoying a peaceful and scenic base. I would recommend having your own vehicle when staying here, as the villa is slightly off the main road and public transportation options may be limited. Overall, a lovely place to stay with a great host and a convenient location for exploring the region.

he village of Forstau is especially suitable for families with young children. For the children there are several fun activities, but the village is not known for its après-ski. If you want to go on holiday to a large ski area and also want to enjoy the peace and quiet of a small mountain village, then Forstau is the place to be.
