The idyllic village of Ludmannsdorf is situated on a sunny, wooded ridge between the famous Wörthersee and the Drau, near the Feistritzer reservoir, offering stunning views of the Rosental, the Karawanken mountains, the Keutschacher Seetal, and the southern shore of the Wörthersee. The location of the Rosental, on the sunny side of the Alps, between several lakes, and as a neighbour to Italy and Slovenia, is a paradise for nature lovers, hikers, cyclists, and mountain bikers. Varied leisure activities, delicious cuisine, cultural diversity and unforgettable nature experiences are guaranteed in the heart of the Karawanken region!
The Feistritzer reservoir, and with it the Drau river, is near the village centre. A trip through the Baerenthal valley to the Klagenfurter Hütte is an absolute insider tip for a leisurely mountain hike, reachable in about 20 minutes by car to the car park at the Karawanken. The Triglav National Park, located in Slovenia and Italy, is just a half-hour drive from the country house.
In the summer, the famous Wörthersee, Carinthia's largest lake, as well as the Keutschacher See, Faaker See, Rauschelesee, Ossiacher See, and Hafnersee, offer plenty of swimming fun. They can all be reached in 10-45 minutes by car. Additionally, the idyllic bathing lake in St. Johann in Feistritz im Rosental is also a great option.
There are plenty of shops to meet your daily needs and a good selection of restaurants in the village or town of Feistritz im Rosental.
