An oasis of calmness in the Carinthian mountains! At 1200 metres altitude, in the charming village of Diex, you find this spacious detached country house with a cosy Austrian interior. Here you will enjoy the silence, nature, beautiful views and fantastic surroundings! Relax in the nice garden or in the sauna, and explore the area with numerous hiking and cycling routes, various small ski resorts and the beautiful Klopeiner See nearby. Free Wi-Fi is available and you can park right by the house.
The charming village of Diex is located at 1,200 metres altitude, on the southern slope of the Saualpe. With more than 2,000 hours of sunshine a year, you can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the valleys in the region here. Hiking enthusiasts can look forward to hundreds of kilometres of marked trails - from leisurely walks to panoramic mountain tours - through forests, flowering meadows and idyllic villages.
In winter, several ski resorts in the immediate vicinity such as Klippitztörl, Koralpe, Petzen and Weinebene do guarantee unforgettable days in the snow, all can be reached in about 45 minutes by car and offer beautiful small-scale slopes (from 15 - 28 km of runs), ideal for families and beginners who want to enjoy winter in peace and quietness. Those who prefer the charm of the countryside can enjoy the well-maintained cross-country ski trails, which wind through forests and across open meadows, offering fantastic panoramic views.
Less than 30 minutes away is Lake Klopeinersee, Europe's warmest swimming lake with a picturesque lakeside promenade. The idyllic Turnersee lake is just a few kilometres away and the lively lake Wörthersee with several stylish terraces and tourist towns such as Velden, Pörtschach and Maria Wörth/Reifnitz can be reached in about 1 hour by car. In spring, summer and autumn, the region is also a true paradise for cyclists and mountain bikers, with tours for all levels and the spectacular Bike Park Petzen, a paradise for mountain bikers!
In Diex and the nearby town of Völkermarkt, you will find various shops, restaurants and everything else you need for a relaxing and carefree holiday!.

In response to your request, we inform you of the following: the double beds are each equipped with two separate mattresses, as well as with an additional mattress topper that covers both mattresses so that no gap between them can be felt.

Visit the Tscheppaschlucht gorge in Ferlach, Carinthia, a natural jewel of a special kind! The hike through the wild and romantic gorge impressively presents the elemental force of water and is particularly recommended on hot days. The route climbs over paths, ladders and bridges, and the impressive spiral staircase, the spectacular suspension bridge and the thundering Tschauko Falls with its rock gate are the high points along the way.
