About this holiday home

Enjoy a perfect holiday in this spacious and modern semi-detached chalet, close to the village centre and less than 200 metres from the slopes of the Kötschach-Mauthen-Vorhegg ski area, and a short distance from the Nassfeld ski resort! This chalet combines comfort with a warm, homely atmosphere and offers stunning views of the surrounding area. After an active day, you can relax on the terrace or in the garden. Free Wi-Fi is available and you can park under the carport.

The ski-in/ski-out chalet is idyllically located in the quiet mountain village of Kötschach-Mauthen in the holiday region Nassfeld-Presseggersee. At the end of the picturesque Gailtal valley, right at the border triangle of Austria, Italy and Slovenia, you will be embraced by majestic mountain ranges, pure Alpine air and remarkably long hours of sunshine. A place where nature, relaxation and adventure come together seamlessly. Right next to the chalet are the slopes of the well-organised Kötschach-Mauthen-Vorhegg ski area. With 6 kilometres of slopes and 37 kilometers of perfectly groomed cross-country trails, this is a wonderful destination for families and those seeking peace and quiet. For those who like it bigger, Nassfeld (110 km of slopes), Zettersfeld in the Lienzer Dolomites (21 km of slopes) and the cosy family ski resort Golzentipp in Obertilliach (12 km of slopes) are within a comfortable 25-45-minute car ride. Even outside the winter months, Kötschach-Mauthen is characterised by an abundance of activities. It is part of the versatile Nassfeld-Pressegger See region, where hikers and cyclists can indulge themselves on the numerous trails and the 25 themed paths of the 'Hike World'. Relax in the Aquarena with swimming pool and wellness, or discover the tranquil Waldbad Mauthen-a natural paradise pool among the trees. The warm Carinthian lakes Pressegger See and Weissensee are just a 30-45-minute drive away and are perfect for a day of water fun. For those looking for a magical mix of mountains and lakes, Lake Wolayersee and Frischenkofel are unforgettable. All amenities are within easy reach: in Kötschach-Mauthen and nearby Hermagor you will find shops, cosy cafés, restaurants and everything you need for a carefree holiday. Here you will discover Carinthia at its best-quiet, sunny and full of possibilities!.

Tip from the expert

Bella Italia! Cross the Plöckenpass and be surprised by sunny Friuli! Stroll through the charming town of Tolmezzo, admire the medieval town of Venzone and enjoy a gelato on one of the lively squares in Udine. On the way, make a short stop at Lago di Cavazzo for a walk, picnic or a refreshing dip in the clear water. A perfect mix of culture, nature and Italian flair for one day!
