The historical centre of L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue is only 1.5 km away by bike. This town is also called the Venice of the Comtat because of the river Sorgue that flows through the town. Here, you can stroll along the water or settle down at one of the cosy terraces. L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue is known for its many antique and brocant shops and its pleasant antique markets. More than three hundred antique dealers are at your disposal on the Sunday morning market.
The beautiful city of Avignon (20 km) with its atmospheric old city centre, impressive Palais des Papes and the famous Pont d'Avignon is definitely worth a visit. A visit to the famous wine domains such as the Côtes du Rhône, Gigondas and the Châteauneuf-du-Pape is also a must.
In Fontaine-de Vaucluse (8 km) you can visit the mysterious source of the beautiful river Sorgue. To get here, you take a nice half-hour walk. At this river in Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, an exciting children's kayak route has been set up (especially for children aged 3 - 8 years). Golf enthusiasts can play on the beautiful 18-hole golf course in Saumane-de-Vaucluse (8 km).
Once back from a day of touring, it is time for an aperitif on the covered terrace and enjoy a beautiful sunset.
