On the ground floor is the cosy living room with open kitchen. Adjacent to the living room there is a large balcony with a fantastic view. The floors are connected by a wide staircase. There is no stair gate for this, which may make this house less suitable for families with small children. Above the double bed there is a high quality single fold-out bed. This bed is placed behind the partition with the mountain landscape, which you can fold open.
The apartment is located in the cosy village of Viehhofen, just before the famous Saalbach-Hinterglemm. There are some shops and restaurants in Viehhofen. At the reception of the nearby Landal Ferienpark you can order bread rolls and collect them from 8.00 am. Next to the lift is the Dorfstahl restaurant, where you can enjoy a good meal. Furthermore it is conveniently located between Saalbach-Hinterglemm and Maishofen, near Zell am See and Kaprun.
In the village, you can directly take the ZellamSeeXpress to the Schmittenhöhe, Zell am See's local mountain. The ski area is not only the largest, but also one of the most modern ski areas in Austria. There are snow cannons that guarantee snow from early December to Easter.
Not only is this area attractive in winter, but also outside this season, this region has much to offer and is a wonderful destination for young and old. Think of mountain biking, rafting and hiking. It is also great fun to go to the adventure pool Kapt'n Hook with children. The lake of Zell am See is definitely worth a visit too.
In case of heavy snowfall, you may need snow chains for the last part of your journey to the house. Please note that this holiday home is not suitable for a family with small children, due to the open staircase in the holiday home!
